MIND IN ACTION
H2O for Life
H2O for Life offers a service-learning opportunity designed to engage, educate and inspire youth to take action to solve the global water crisis by raising awareness and funds to support implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene education projects for global partner schools.
MIND partners with Water for Life to raise awareness in the community and to help with fundraising including a walk-a-thon and other involvement in their programs in providing safe drinking water for people in developing nations.
Second Harvest Heartland
Second Harvest Heartland is a leading hunger-relief organization. In partnership with more than 1,000 food shelves and hunger-relief programs in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, they provided more than 143 million meals to neighbors last year. They also help families enroll in food assistance and provide prepared meals for people who need more than groceries.
MIND has volunteered with Second Harvest Heartland to be part of the movement to end hunger. Our partnered events provide meaningful ways to connect with the mission, support neighbors in need, and make a lasting impact on our community.
Feed My Starving Children
As a Christian nonprofit, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development. Meals are developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition.
Through FMSC MobilePack events, MIND’s executive board and invited members have engaged in the meal-packing experience here in Minnesota.
Passport Support
Applying for your Nigerian E-Passport at the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York is a multi-step process that includes processing your NIN, submitting and making payment for your E-Passport application and scheduling and attending an in-person biometrics appointment at the Consulate.
To support those needing help with passport renewals, passport forms, and other passport related issues, MIND provides information about the application process and can connect members to the embassy and New York consulate officers.
